When you recently launch a google ads campaign, you want to make sure that your ads are showing and you also want to see how your ad looks when users are searching for your keywords. Because of this, it is very common that you to try to search for your ads as a user and it’s also very common that you don’t find your ads, but don’t worry, that doesn’t mean your ads aren’t showing.
First of all, you need to understand that when you are running a google ads campaign, your ads won’t be showing 100% of the time they are searched for because in order for this to happen you would need to pay a premium amount for each click and that’s not the best strategy. Normally, ads are shown between 50% – 80% of the time, depending on several factors.
Another element that’s very important to know is that if you are trying to search for your ads from the same device multiple times, Google won’t show your ads. They do this as a preventive measure to protect you from users trying to click on your ads as much as possible just to hurt your business (most of the time competitors).
Here is what you can do to know if your ads are showing without Google blocking your IP address: Google ads has a free tool called the ad preview tool. If you log into your account and go to “tools and settings”, you should see the “ad preview” tool. Click here and then you’ll have the option to type a keyword and choose a location and even the device you want to be searching from. Once you click on search, Google will automatically show you your ad or they will let you know if your ad isn’t showing and why that’s happening.
