In this blog we will discuss how to properly set up a campaign in Google ads. We won’t be able to go into too much detail as we will do for future blogs corresponding to each individual campaign type.
So, the first thing we need to understand is that in Google ads we have several campaign types that we can create, and for each campaign type there are different steps we need to work on. Here are some of the most important campaign types in Google ads:
- Search campaign
- Display campaign
- Remarketing campaign
- Youtube campaign
- Shopping campaign
- App campaign
When setting up any campaign, the first thing we need to do is create a new account (if you already have an existing account, you can skip this step). When you create a new account, you will have to name the account, choose time zone and currency and also add the billing information. Once you create a new account, then you can start working on creating the campaign that best suits your marketing goal.
One thing that all campaigns have in common is that they all need proper tracking installed to measure which campaigns are generating the most value for your business. This “value” could be any of the following:
- Contact form submission
- Specific page visited
- Specific action on page
- And more
If you are able to follow the steps to create a good campaign and you’re also tracking your performance, you will most certainly generate great results and you will also be able to optimize those results on a weekly basis.
If you need help in learning how to create a specific campaign or if you’re looking for someone to create a new campaign for you, we can definitely help. Visit our website or read our other blogs for more information.
